DMIC 2 week 2

today we worked in our DIMC groups to solve this problem . when you find a fraction of a number the first thing you need to do is to divide the number by the denominator
First we worked out that 105 divided by 7 was 15 most most of us drew 7 circles we counted in 10s 7 times and then in 5s and that made 105 which left 15 in each group.
The next step is to take the number 15 and times it by the number which was 4.
15x4 = 60

The answer is 60.
60 mussels could be taken by the fisherman -4/7 of 105 is 60 mussels

Narrative story

Once upon a time there lived a baby kitten. She lived in a beautiful home which was warm and cozy. Her family was nice, calm and peaceful. One day they went out to have a picnic and they forgot the kitten. They left without her. She was heartbroken and she was so so sad. There was a little girl who was on holiday. The little girl saw the kitten. She told her mum and dad to pull over. She jumped out of the car and she hugged the kitten. She got a blanket out of the car and picked the kitten up. She put it in a basket and took it home. That was the best home because they lived in a mansion that had five pools! It was the best life. The kitten felt like she was in heaven.
